Built around the foot, not the mould

Six things most walking shoes get wrong

Every part of the Trailwalk Pro was chosen for people who are on their feet for hours — nurses, teachers, dog walkers, anyone whose day is measured in steps rather than miles.

Wide toe box Top-down view showing the roomy toe box

Your toes get their own room

The forefoot is cut wide and rounded instead of tapered, so toes splay the way they do barefoot. That is the difference between a shoe you tolerate at hour six and one you forget you are wearing.

Toe cap Reinforced toe cap and heel counter

A cap that takes the knock

A reinforced front shield absorbs kerbs, table legs and loose trail stone before your toes do.

Grip Deep non-slip tread on the outsole

Tread that holds wet ground

Deep multi-directional lugs bite into wet tile, damp grass and gravel instead of skating over it.

Rebound Cross-section of the cushioning midsole

Cushioning that springs back

A high-elastic midsole returns energy on push-off, so late-afternoon steps cost less than they used to.

Slip-on Stepping into the shoe outdoors without bending down

On in four seconds, no bending

A stretch collar and a firm heel tab mean you step in and go. There is nothing to tie, nothing to re-tighten halfway through the day, and nothing to trip over.

Lining Plush-lined interior of the winter colourway

Breathable now, plush in winter

Standard colourways use an airy knit lining. The four plush colourways swap it for a brushed fleece bed, so the same shoe carries you from August through February.

What holds you up matters more than what covers you

The contoured footbed and arch of the shoe
Arch support

An arch bed that does not flatten by month two

The footbed is moulded rather than cut flat: it rises under the arch, cups the heel, and spreads load across the whole sole instead of concentrating it on the ball of the foot. The foam is density-rated to hold that shape through daily wear rather than compressing into a pancake after a few weeks.

  • Contoured arch with a deep, stabilising heel cup
  • Removable insole, so your own orthotic drops straight in
  • Shape-retaining foam that recovers overnight
The upper and stitched overlays in detail
Upper & build

Built to survive a real week, not a photo shoot

The suede-look upper is reinforced with stitched overlays at the flex points where cheap shoes crease and split. The heel counter is structured rather than floppy, which is what stops the foot rolling inward on uneven ground — the failure most people blame on their ankles rather than their shoes.

  • Stitched overlays at the toe flex and heel
  • Structured heel counter for lateral stability
  • Wipe-clean finish — a damp cloth is the whole routine
Wearing the shoes through a full day
All-day wear

No break-in, because there is nothing to break in

There is no stiff leather to soften and no lacing pattern to get right. The collar stretches to your instep the first time you put it on, and the sole is already flexible where the foot bends. Most buyers tell us the first wear was a full working day — not a cautious hour around the house.

  • Comfortable from the first wear, no softening period
  • Medium and wide widths so you size for length, not girth
  • Light enough at 10.2 oz to forget by mid-morning

Fit & sizing

Order your normal size — then read the two exceptions

The Trailwalk Pro runs true to length. Width is where people get it wrong, so we sell both a medium (D) and a wide (2E) in every size.

US size EU UK Foot length Best width
Men 7 / Women 8.5 40 6 25.0 cm Medium
Men 8 / Women 9.5 41 7 25.7 cm Medium
Men 9 / Women 10.5 42 8 26.4 cm Medium or Wide
Men 10 / Women 11.5 43 9 27.1 cm Medium or Wide
Men 11 / Women 12 44 10 27.8 cm Wide
Men 12 45 11 28.5 cm Wide
Men 13 46 12 29.2 cm Wide

Exception one: if you wear a custom orthotic, take the wide — the insole lifts out and the orthotic needs the extra volume. Exception two: if you are between sizes, size up; the collar takes up slack, but nothing recovers a short shoe. Measure by standing on paper and marking heel to longest toe.

Twelve-hour shifts, no complaints

I am on a ward floor all day and I used to change shoes at lunch. I have not done that since these arrived. The wide fit was the thing — my old pair was the right length and still too tight.

Dana R. · Wide, W9 Verified

Bought a second pair in three weeks

Ordered the black expecting something cheap-feeling for the price. Wore them on wet decking the first weekend and they held. The khaki pair turned up on Tuesday.

Marcus T. · Medium, M11 Verified

Great shoe, size up if you are between

My usual 8.5 was snug across the top, and the 9 in wide is right. Four stars only because I had to swap — the return took four days and cost nothing, so no real harm done.

Before you order

The questions our inbox actually gets

Will these work with my orthotic insoles?

Yes. The stock insole lifts straight out, which leaves room for a custom or over-the-counter orthotic. If you plan to use one, order the wide (2E) rather than the medium — an orthotic adds volume as well as height, and a medium that fit before will feel tight afterwards.

Are they waterproof?

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. The upper is water-resistant enough for wet pavement, dewy grass and light rain, and it dries quickly. Standing in a puddle or walking a flooded trail will get your socks wet. If you need genuine waterproofing, this is not the shoe.

How do I choose between medium and wide?

If your current shoes feel right across the ball of your foot, take the medium. If you routinely feel pressure on the little toe, buy the next width rather than the next size, or wear an orthotic, take the wide. Length stays the same either way — width does not change how long the shoe is.

What does the 30-night guarantee actually cover?

Wear them indoors and out for up to 30 nights. If they are not right, contact us and we will arrange a return for a refund of the purchase price. The shoes need to be in returnable condition — ordinary indoor wear is fine, a month of trail mud is not. Full terms are on our Terms and Conditions page.

When will they arrive?

Orders are packed within one business day and delivered in 2–3 business days within the continental US, tracked the whole way. International delivery takes longer and varies by destination. You will get a tracking link by email the moment the parcel leaves us.

How do I clean them?

A damp cloth and a little mild soap on the upper, then air-dry away from direct heat. Do not put them in a washing machine or tumble dryer — the adhesive bonding the midsole is not built for it, and heat is what makes foam midsoles fail early.
